About Built-Well Construction

Paul Laffey grew up in Brighton, Massachusetts and started Built-Well Construction Company in 1978, after graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology with an Associate Degree in Building Construction Technology. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree from Wentworth in Civil Engineering Technology in 1981.

Early in his career Paul was a member of the Boston Local 33 Carpenter's Union and also completed the Massachusetts Apprenticeship Training Program. Paul has worked in the construction industry since the age of 14, following in his father's footsteps as a skilled finish carpenter.

Built-Well has now grown to a staff of ten, consisting of field supervisors, carpenters and office personnel. Over the years they have worked with many homeowners, municipal departments, non-profits and various architects and designers. One of Built-Well's specialties has become one of refurbishing older homes occupied by the owners and family members, while minimizing noise, disruption and cost to the greatest extent possible. We strive to provide customers with the highest quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, and competitive pricing.

Paul Laffey is fully licensed by the State of Massachusetts as a Construction Supervisor (License #054566) and Built-Well is registered as a Home Improvement Contractor (H.I.C. Registration #109075). Through the State of Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards website, our credentials and records can be checked for quality assurance.
